Matthew Dear. Until last year his name conjured ideas of thoughtful click house, slick and crisp dancefloor/chill-out and banging four-four remixes under the moniker Audion. Safe inside the elite confines of an acclaimed techno producer it was came as a shock to the industry when 2007 saw him drop the surprisingly fantastic album Asa Breed. A project that saw him, alongside a safety net of samplers and computers, picking up a microphone and, at times, brandish a guitar.
