[NEWS] Matrixxman Announces Debut Album with Lead Single "Augmented"

Most of you likely know the name Matrixxman, the alias of Bay Area DJ/producer Charles Duff. He’s become a staple in the techno/house realm on the back of no less than 12 EPs released since 2013, including two for Spectral Sound last year. With so much momentum behind him, it seemed like the perfect time to announce Matrixxman’s debut album, a 12-track techno epic called Homesick.

The news appeared today on Resident Advisor, and arrived with a stream of lead single “Augmented”. Duff’s steely techno jam is just a glimpse of Homesick’s fascinations with artificial intelligence and “a true post-corporeal” reality, not mention a Grade A dancefloor heater. Look for the rest of Matrixxman’s debut album to drop on July 10.

[NEWS] Ghostly Swim 2 CD and Tee Pre-Orders

It was just before Christmas 2014 when we first unveiled Ghostly Swim 2, the appropriately titled second installment of our compilation series with Adult Swim. And now that collection of zonked ambient textures and punch-drunk house and techno—courtesy of Ghostly friends and artists Shigeto, Heathered Pearls, Lord RAJA, Dauwd, and Patricia, CFCF, Nautiluss, and Anenon, among others—is getting a beautifully packaged CD release on April 28. You can check out the announcement on The FADER, which premiered with a stream of Glacher Lustwerk’s bonus track, “In the Place”.

We’ve also decided to bring artist/designer Jacob Escobedo’s lavish interpretation of the Ghostly logo to a new t-shirt, available in The Ghostly Store. Escobedo had this to say about his illustration: “I think it comes the closest to relaying the feeling and textures of the [Ghostly Swim 2] compilation, solemn with a bit of optimism.”
