Today, we’re thrilled to share “Mirrors,” the new single from London-based producer Moiré. The song takes the ideas that informed his last record, Shelter, and refracts them. “The idea behind “Mirrors” is to have something opposite to Shelter,” he explains. “This is about coming out and focusing entirely on music, beyond what I know. My goal is to break into the other world, the one that’s hidden behind what you hear, and to get lost in it.”
Beacon will be hitting the road next year in support of the forthcoming Escapements. They’ll be traveling across North America throughout February and early March, joined by Natasha Kmeto and hitting the North, South, East and West. Come out and hear your favorites, both old and new.
We are thrilled to announce Escapements, the new record from Beacon and the follow-up to 2013’s The Ways We Separate. Where that record focused on space, Escapements focuses on time. “I was attracted to this concept because of the entropy it implies,” Thomas Mullarney explains. “Friction and changes in amplitude over time mean every escapement, no matter how well crafted, will lose its accuracy and effectively slow down time via its own decay.” Escapements explores that concept over the group’s most evocative music to date. Escapements will be released on February 5 and is available for pre-order now in The Ghostly Store.
The group will be supporting Escapements with a tour this February. Click here for dates.
