Over on The Huffington Post, the latest record from Brooklyn duo Beacon, L1, has premiered before its release on Dec. 2. The publication describes Jacob Gossett’s and Thomas Mullarney III’s five-song EP as “a medley of minimal, hard-hitting beats and vaporous R&B that is as balancing as it is frantic,” which we’d say is pretty spot-on. You can hear all of Beacon’s L1 EP, and read a quick interview with Mullarney, here.
Prodigious young producer Lord RAJA is still a week from dropping his debut Ghostly album, A Constant Moth, but we’ve decided to share its genre-juggling, beat-centric music ahead of the December 2 release. Our friends at Hype Machine have helped us with the premiere, streaming the record’s 12 tracks in their full cosmic brilliance. Listen to the entirety of Lord RAJA’s A Constant Moth LP here.
With this week’s arrival of his AVION EP for Spectral Sound, UK techno stalwart Mark E is sharing a full stream of its lush dancefloor sounds. The release features four original productions and two remixes, with White Material’s Alvin Aronson and Laszlo Dancehall (a.k.a. Leon Vynehall and Christian Piers) reimagining two tracks from this year’s Product of Industry. Mark E’s AVION EP can be heard in its entirety over on XLR8R.

With the announcement of his second album for Ghostly, Michna has unveiled the first single from Thousand Thursday, an affable, synthy tune called “She Exists in My Mind”. Consequence of Sound premiered the beat-driven song today, ahead of the NYC producer’s record dropping on February 3, seven years after his debut LP.
Following “Fault Lines”, the second song to appear from Beacon’s forthcoming L1 EP (out Dec. 2) is its title track, a spacious and beat-driven cut featuring Thomas Mullarney III’s airy croon. “L1” premiered courtesy of Stereogum, where it was described as “smartly arranged electro-pop with a fervent tempo and an angsty undercurrent.”
