This week we offer the first of Ghostly’s lost catalog pulled from the vaults. For Long Drives And Temporary Diversions is an album that was completed in April 2000 by Ben Benjamin. You may know Ben Benjamin from his days in bands such as Midwest Product and the short-lived PostPrior. Ben Benjamin explains, “I would take long drives on back roads to clear my head, and I couldn’t figure out what CD to play. This was before the convenience of mp3 players, and I just wanted an album that was effective in the background or foreground, allowing my attention to wander and return effortlessly.”
Matthew Dear’s Slowdance EP is now available. The third and final single taken from Black City will include a reinterpretation from How To Dress Well, and a collection of some new and recent remixes from Todd Edwards, Photocall, Mark E, Nicolas Jaar, Sascha Dive and the rarely heard and stunning “Inhh Dahh” which some have heard as the encore to Matthew’s live shows.
