Funny how everyone says it “gets worse every year,” as last week’s South By Southwest was pretty unequivocally fantastic, a joyous Riviera/Mardi Gras/Halloween/Disney World for music fanatics, and Ghostly’s artists made a fine showing. Here’s a few clips from press folks who enjoyed themselves: School of Seven Bells written up in NME, the Dallas Observer, and Pitchfork ; Michna on Popmatters ; and newcomers Choir of Young Believers in Pitchfork, Mojo, and Music Mule.
Finally, here’s a nice Time Out New York piece on School of Seven Bells’ SXSW experience, written by Bells guitarist Benjamin Curtis.
Here’s the info for this Friday’s Spectral Sound Winter Music Conference showcase, which features the triumphant, long-awaited return of Audion. Download Audion’s new single, “I Am the Car,” here, pick up advance tickets to the party here, and get ready to lose whatever you’ve got left…

Months have gone by since we released The Chap’s beautiful, bizarre Mega Breakfast, and we’re still delighted, confused, and dancing our asses off. Now, The Chap are finally jumping the proverbial pond for their first US tour in history, hitting dates on the East Coast, the Midwest, and in Austin for South By Southwest. Viciously rocking out one moment and staging dance routines the next, The Chap are the sort of live band that needs to be seen to be believed.
