aving recorded for the prestigious Sender and Kompakt imprints in addition to co-running Berlin’s Boot Records, Peter Grummich joined the Spectral Sound family as its first German artist. Grummich allows no half-stepping with his approach to music, as his distinctively jacking tracks crunch and stomp, rife with the soul of Europe’s techno capital and just as apt for America. Above the precision of his massive beats there is remnant grime perfect for the late night dancefloor, complemented

by a finely tuned sense of melodic detail. Long live the Berlin-Detroit connection. Grummich debuted on Spectral Sound with the Searoom 12”, the title track of which is a mesmerizing voyage through lush synth washes and irresistible beats. Following his exclusive track “Arcona” from the Spectral Sound Vol. 1 compilation alongside a blistering remix of Matthew Dear’s “Dog Days”, Grummich released “The Roll” continuing down the path of house-inspired techno on which he has built his reputation.
